A Little Bit of This and That

He can't drink a lot of things because of the sodium, sweetners, ect... so I told him we could make our own "juice".

 His favorite so far

 Tucker's favorite new past time is torturing the dog.  As soon as she gets up, he will plop down in her bed.  She can't do anything but lay across the room and whine about it.

 He had a little bit of energy to start out the day, but that faded pretty quick and the couch was just too comfy.

 Cassidy had wrestling practice tonight.  Ethan can't participate any longer (which he was pretty bummed about) but at least he gets to come watch.

A Special Tag-A-Long

I have been working on Ethan's big quilt.  In light of his recent Dr. visits and the promise of many more, I thought I would throw a little take-a-long blankie to accompany him to his appointments. 

Back To It

Brandon had two more games this weekend.

 Ethan was pretty bummed he had to stay home, but was really excited when I came home with these from one of his favorite buddies on Brandon's team.

 Thank you Kevin!  You put a smile on his face today!

 However, his lackluster lunch..... did not.

The Ups and Downs of Doctors

At the Urgent Care.  Ethan's legs were so tired walking in, he needed to stop and sit down while were were waiting to check him in at the registration desk.  By the time we got to waiting area, he had perked up a bit and wanted to draw.  20 min later... CRASH.  He was out for the next hour.  

 Once we moved into the exam room, he was looking a little more cheery.  Esp after he got the popsicle. They weighed him in at 46lbs 14oz!  That is nearly 11lbs heavier than he was just over a month earlier!!

 Urgent Care decided they didn't like the low white count in his blood and the high protein in his urine.  They ordered a transfer for Ethan to go to the hospital.

 The room had some fun things to do in it. 

 In Ethan's perky moments he enjoyed them.

We left the hospital at about 1:30 in the morning after a rollercoaster of ups and downs as to how they wanted to treat him... his diagnosis being Nephrotic Syndrome most likely brought on by Minimal Change Disease. 

Saturday Futsal

 Little Man, still not feeling well at all.  I hauled the tent out to the field today.... he slept on and off thru both games.  A trip to urgent care is on the agenda today.

Sleepy Days

Still no appetite... he just wants to sleep all day.  We think he may have picked up some form of the flu.  Luckily he isn't throwing up, just really tired.

 After the kids' practices tonight, he ate more than a bite for the first time in days.  Yay... maybe he's on the mend.

Foggy, Groggy, Practice.

Ethan was so excited to go to Brandon's practice.  He had been tired and lounging around the house all day, so I thought the fresh air would probably be good for him.  

He played for about 5 min before complaining that his legs were too tired.

 He laid down on the field, and went out like a light

 For over an hour

 Meanwhile..... there was a game going on somewhere in there.

Let the Weirdness Begin...

After a couple days of having very little appetite and what we thought was the beginning to a cold....

He wakes up looking like this.

Fearing he had something on his sheets or on his blanket that irritated his eye overnight, we stripped his bedding and washed it all, and gave him some benadryl for the swelling and within 30 min the swelling started to go down.

He still wasn't feeling great and just wanted to sleep.

Winter Futsal Continues

 Ethan wasn't feeling very good.  Miss Cassidy was being a good big sister and keeping him dry and entertained.

 He was very ready to go home

 Unfortunately, Brandon had 2 games today.

One of Brandon's teammates, gave Ethan a huge basket of Power Ranger toys.  He wasn't feeling very well, but perked right up when he got home and we got them all out to play with.
