Just a Play Day
Cassidy is WAY too big to be in this bed!

Wacky Hat Day
The theme was "Things that make you happy" Brandon chose reading, soccer, dogs, and friends. He was coloring words to glue on last min this morning, and adding the stars and feathers his friend Cade gave him. We had a very hectic morning :)

Jack-O-Lantern Pizza
The kids didn't get to go to the haunted house with us tonight, but we did get a special pizza for a fun dinner when we got home.

"He stole my dollar"...."She took my hat"..."Don't tickle me"..."I'll get it"..."Tackle him!" This is why I don't bother to make up the bed most days!

Cassidy got her ears pierced!
She came in this morning and told me she wanted to pierce her ears. So much so, that she was willing to spend her allowance to help pay for it. We went in search of the perfect place for her lobe lancing.
She was so excited... but when she hit the chair, you could see the unease creeping in.
She held VERY still so the lady could put the dots on her ears.
They did both at the same time... which was great! I couldn't take pictures while they were piercing because I was sitting close holding Cassidy's hand. When they clicked the guns, a faint ou...ch.. escaped her lips, but they immediately put the cooling solution on and she was all smiles for the rest of the day!
Brandon... our squeamish one.. was watching intently while they prepped Cassidy for the piercing. When the guns came out and they started to count 1, 2, 3... he suddenly became very interested in the shelf of earrings he was standing next to. :) He got a sucker for bravery too.

Getting Ready

Halloween, Sneak Preview
Cassidy, of course, had to be a dinosaur for halloween. We found this cute Dino costume. It was actually a 2T, but by taking out a few seams and adding some longer legs, I was able to tailor it to fit.
Brandon, on the other hand, picked a costume that was a lot harder. He wanted to be Master Chief. After assuring me that that is what he truly wanted to be, I grabbed a poster book that he had and went to work trying to copy the picture. With lots of cardboard, paper mache, and paint I was able to create his costume. I don't think it turned out too bad!
