St. Paddy's Day.... FLOP!

Ethan woke up during the night with a headache that he just couldn't shake.

His doctor decided that she just didn't feel comfortable with all the headaches and loss of appetite and general non feeling good..... so back to the office we went.

 All three kids had worn their Timbers jerseys today.  My plan was to get a fun picture of the three of them when the big kids got home from school.  Instead..... 

 We ended up, once again, with Ethan being admitted into the hospital

The 3rd Time is Not the Charm (4th either)

Poor little man had to endure 4 unsuccessful attempts at an IV today only to go home with teary eyes, sore arms, and no treatment for the day.

Two days of infusions in a row taking a toll on this little guy.

 A few hours after we got home, we ended up driving back in to the Children's ER.  Ethan had two days in a row of double albumin infusions/lasix treatments and his lungs just flooded.  He was having a hard time breathing and needed to get in to the hospital to get rid of some of that extra fluid.

 On oxygen all night, by morning he was keeping his levels up on his own.

It was a little more challenging today.  Little man wasn't feeling the greatest, but he got thru it.

 He had a fun time with his friends the day before and a couple kids stayed over and they were up until the wee hours of the morning.... today was veg day.

Ethan is currently going thru day treatment 3 days a week.  The Ipad has been a great distraction and great way to help pass the many many hours we spend in these rooms.

 Ethan's body is a lot weaker right now than it once was.  He needs to stop and rest more often than not, and every poke and prod each week leaves a nasty reminder.

Today is Brandon's 13th birthday. 

 Today, also happens to be the day they are doing Ethan's kidney biopsy.  Pre-surgery he was pretty smiley.... Post surgery, not so much.

The birthday boy came to the hospital so he could receive a special present from his little brother
